Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is moving closer to bringing in two German internationals at the end of the season.
Deals for Bayern Munich attacker Mario Gotze and Koln full-back Jonas Hector look to be on the cards.
Klopp is said to be growing more confident that a price in the region of £15m to £20m will be enough to seal a deal for Gotze – who has just over a year left on his contract with Bayern and is refusing to discuss an extension.
While Hector has several years left on his deal with Koln, the German club are said to be ready to do a deal at around £12m for the international left-back.
It would represent a massive coup for Klopp if moves can be secured for such figures. German football is on the rise again – with the nation one of the favourites of Euro 2016 – and having a fellow countryman at the helm can only help secure some of the Bundesliga’s top talents.
Gotze is said to want to reunite with Klopp following a difficult spell at Bayern after their time together at Borussia Dortmund.
While Hector has indicated that he would be very interested in linking up with Klopp as well.
