Carragher says Reus “would fit well” at Anfield

Reus has long been linked with a move to Anfield

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has revealed his admiration for German attacker Marco Reus.

The ex-vice captain was asked by SportBild who he thought the current side was missing and he said that “finished article players” would be what he would look for in the transfer market.

Jurgen Klopp has already added teenage midfielder Marko Grujic and Schalke defender Joel Matip to his ranks for next season – but Carragher wants to see a man “for the wing” come in.

And he revealed that Germany international Reus would be the ideal candidate for the role.

“There are many talented players in the team. What is missing are finished article players to help immediately.” he said.

“I would want a player like Marco Reus of Dortmund for the wing. He would fit well.” he added.

Reus has long been linked with a switch to Anfield and the appointment of Klopp back in October only saw that speculation increase.

The likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have also been touted as potential suitors for the Borussia Dortmund man though, so bringing him to the club could prove very hard.
