Balotelli set for Anfield return

Balotelli in action for loan side AC Milan

Reports today claim that AC Milan will not take up the option to re-sign Mario Balotelli on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

The Italy international is spending the season on loan at his former club, but he has struggled to make much of an impact at the San Siro so far.

That is mostly down to injury, but it doesn’t appear that Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic wants to bring Balotelli to Serie A on a permanent deal.

Ex-Manchester City man Balotelli is unlikely to start against another of his former sides when Milan take on bitter rivals Inter on Sunday evening.

It remains unclear whether Balotelli is in the plans of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, but it seems unlikely that he would fit the profile of the striker the German prefers to deploy.

Mino Raiola, Balotelli’s agent, has previously claimed that his client would like to be given another chance at Anfield.

    1. Why on earth should Ballotelli be given any more chances at LFC. Rodgers who signed him more or less gave him the ultimatum to buck up his ideas as he was at ‘the last chance saloon’, his response to that said it all, we don’t want or need any more dross, we have an overabundance in that department. Benteke & Ballotelli as our strikeforce now there’s a thought to strike fear in any LFC fans hearts ”the nightmare duo !!!’
