Liverpool are reportedly set to enter the race to sign Celta Vigo attacker Nolito before the transfer window closes.
Premier League rivals Arsenal have long been linked with the Spanish forward along with La Liga champions Barcelona.
The twenty-nine year old Spaniard spent time at the Camp Nou previously, but was mainly used in the B side there.
But it now seems that they want to re-sign the man they sold to Benfica back in 2011.
Reports in Spain claim Barcelona want to take back the former Granada man on loan for the rest of the season, before signing him for his £13.6m release clause at the end of the campaign.
But Celta are said to be unhappy with those terms and would rather sell Nolito this month, if they are going to lose their attacking talisman.
He has been capped five times by Spain since he made his international debut back in 2014.
His release fee is around £13m, which is very affordable, but his age would go against the transfer policy deployed by the club since FSG took over.
