Manchester United are reportedly interested in making a move for Liverpool legend Luis Suarez – that’s according to French news outlet Buzzsport anyway.
United boss Louis van Gaal is said to have identified the Barcelona striker as a key Summer target after seeing his side continue to struggle in front of goal this season.
Suarez is said to be behind the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo in the wanted list at Old Trafford, but they are reported to have accepted that they won’t sign the trio who are fighting it out to win the Ballon D’or this year.
It seems incredibly unlikely that the European champions would allow Suarez to leave given the form he has been in for them since he moved to the Camp Nou from Anfield in the Summer of 2014.
And it would also be a massive surprise to see Suarez sign for the club he disliked most during his spell with the Reds from 2011 to 2014.
Suarez’s most infamous moment during his time at Anfield was his alleged racist argument with former United defender Patrice Evra back in October 2011.
It would appear that the odds of Suarez signing for United are about as good as seeing Cristiano Ronaldo joining the Reds.
