Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard was back at the club today for training at Melwood.
The legendary Red is on holiday from Major League Soccer and is spending his time keeping fit with Jürgen Klopp’s squad while he’s back home.
Gerrard had agreed to spend his downtime with the Reds when Brendan Rodgers was still in charge and Klopp agreed to honour the arrangement.
And the thirty-five year old midfielder is very pleased to be keeping fit ahead of his return to LA Galaxy in January.
“I’m very excited to go in, obviously I’ve been there for a very long time and I’ve come out for a short period but I’m looking forward going into the new set-up to having a look at what Klopp’s all about tactically, what he demands of his players and how much he’s changed since the Brendan era.” he told BT Sport.
“You just watch him in those interviews and you just love watching him. He’s got that infectious personality and I’m excited to go and spend some time with him.” he added.
