Jurgen Klopp has rejected an approach from the Mexican Football Association to become their national manager.
Klopp left Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season and has been regularly linked with replacing Brendan Rodgers as Liverpool boss.
And now Guillermo Cantu, secretary general of the Mexican Football Federation, has revealed that the Mexicans have approached the German coach about replacing Ricardo Feretti as boss of the side.
“We spoke to his representative, but he said he is on a sabbatical and it would not be possible now.” he told Marcaje Personal.
Klopp continues to be talked about in relation to the Liverpool job, but Rodgers remains in charge of the side and has been in defiant mood.
