Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is set to be offered a new contract by the club.
The French centre-back has been left out of the Reds squad for the opening two Premiership games by Brendan Rodgers.
But despite missing the 1-0 victories over Stoke City and Bournemouth, Sakho is set to be given the opportunity of a new deal.
Brendan Rodgers has so far preferred Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel at the back with Kolo Toure on the bench.
That has seen Sakho become the subject of speculation as well as offers from other clubs.
Italian club AS Roma and German side Bayer Leverkusen have both had loan offers for the former Paris Saint Germain man turned down.
Sakho has just under two years remaining on his current deal at Anfield.
