Italian outlet La Republica are claiming that Lazio are looking to seal a deal for Liverpool striker Mario Baotelli.
They are reporting that the Serie A side will pay €2m to take him on loan initially and then a further €18m to make the move permanent.
The article also cites a claim that Liverpool will pay 70% of his wages until 2018 – when his contract at Anfield is set to expire.
Lazio have qualified for the Champions League and have been looking to add to their squad for their return to the competition.
Balotelli’s Liverpool team-mate and compatriot Fabio Borini has also been linked with a move to the Stadio Olimpico.
Serie A newboys Carpi and Bologna have both also been linked with moves for Balotelli, as well as Sampdoria.
