Reds linked with shock move for United striker

Reports in Spain claim that Liverpool are planning a surprise bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

Hernandez2The Mexican was loaned out by the Premier League club to Spanish giants Real Madrid for the 2014/15 season.

He struggled to make an impact at the La Liga club and they decided against signing him on a permanent deal.

Spanish outlet AS are reporting that Brendan Rodgers wants to bring the twenty-seven year old to Anfield and is lining up a move.

United boss Louis van Gaal is said to be keen to move Hernandez on and doesn’t see a place for him in his plans at Old Trafford.

It seems unlikely that the Dutchman will sanction a move for the striker to Anfield, however.
