Leicester City are reportedly looking to make a move to sign Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates.
The Uruguayan international is likely to be allowed to leave Anfield this Summer and is said to be interesting Foxes boss Nigel Pearson.
City managed to finish in a very respectable fourteenth position in the Premier League in their first season back up after gaining promotion from the Championship a year ago.
And it now seems that they are looking to begin reinforcing their squad to consolidate their position.
Coates has recently impressed in Sunderland’s defence after spending the season on loan at the Black Cats.
He initially struggled to get into the side under compatriot Gus Poyet. But Dick Advocaat made him a regular feature after taking over and he repaid the faith of the Dutchman with some excellent performances to help the Makems stay up.
It seems that the two clubs will now go head to head for the defender, who moved to Anfield in the Summer of 2011 under Kenny Dalglish.
