Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has said that he expects to leave the club at the end of the season.
The former Portsmouth and Chelsea full-back has a couple of months left on his deal and no new contract appears to be in the pipeline for him.
Johnson has appeared more regularly for Brendan Rodgers’ side of late, but it seems that it is merely going to be a swansong for the England international who moved to Anfield in the Summer of 2009.
“I would have thought so – I haven’t got a contract. We will have to wait and see.” he told Sky Sports.
“I don’t think so but we have to wait and see.” he said when asked if he thought the situation could change.
The thirty year old has been linked with moves to Italian club AS Roma and former side West Ham in recent weeks, but his future appears to be uncertain.
