Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has said that he thinks the team can catch Manchester United in the league.
United are currently sitting seven points clear off the Reds in fourth place – but Brendan Rodgers’ side have tonight’s game at Hull City in hand and could close to four points back.
The Reds will have to win every game to stand a realistic chance of snatching fourth, and a Champions League place, off United.
Trips to Chelsea and Stoke City remain for Liverpool this season as well as home ties with Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace.
And Slovakia international Skrtel is in confident mood ahead of the trip to Hull.
“We have five more games to play and we are ready to fight for every single point.” he said.
“We play against Hull City and we need to win this game in order to keep our chances of reaching Champions League alive.
“It will not be easy because they are trying to avoid relegation and we must win this game, but I think we have the quality and we are ready to show it on the pitch.” he finished.
