Reports today claim that West Brom will make a Summer move for Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert.
Tony Pulis was rumoured to be interested in signing the former Southampton man in January, but didn’t make a bid and then saw local rivals Aston Villa fail in a deadline day move for the thirty-three year old.
But it now seems that the former Stoke City manager is going to come back in for Lambert and make a move to take the out of favour striker to the Hawthorns.
Lambert completed his dream move to join his boyhood club in a £4m deal last Summer, but it hasn’t worked out well for the England international – who has lost his place in Roy Hodgson’s squad to Spurs revelation Harry Kane.
And reports now state that he could be available for a similar fee in the Summer after scoring just three goals so far for the Reds.
Premiership side Crystal Palace were also linked with a move for Lambert back in the January transfer window and Eagles manager Alan Pardew may well revive that interest at the end of the season.
