Liverpool are being linked with a move for Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray in reports this week.
The eighteen year old has impressed so far this season for the Championship side and has been linked with several Premiership clubs this month.
Goal.com have also reported that Austrian Red Bull Salzburg are close to making a bid for the youngster, but say that the Reds have first option on Gray as part of the deal that took Jordan Ibe on loan to St Andrews last season.
The deal reportedly says that Liverpool will be notified of any offer made for Gray and will have the right to match it, should they wish to do so.
And Birmingham manager Gary Rowett has said that the young Englishman should only leave Birmingham for a top Premiership side.
“He’s a fantastic talent. I think he’s best served being here until an opportunity comes his way that is befitting of his talent.
“For me at the moment it’s only probably a top four team that can do that. That’s not being disrespectful to anyone else.”
Gray has scored four goals for City so far this season and has caught the eye of many scout from the top flight.
