Several sources report that Italian international Mario Balotelli will be the newest addition to Brendan Rodgers’ side.
The former AC Milan striker scored 26 goals in 43 appearances last year and scored 20 goals for Manchester City in the three years before that.
Balotelli will compete alongside Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling as Liverpool will make another run at the title after coming so painfully close last May.
Balotelli has had his run-ins with bad press and negative light in the past few years, but there is no denying the talent and charisma he brings with him wherever he goes.
The next game for Liverpool will be the 25th of August at Balotelli’s former club, Manchester City.
